My first big task at Desh Keyboard was fixing emoji issues.
I learned emojis are "universal" and "unified by Unicode"... until you dig deeper! ๐
Turns out Apple's ๐ looks nothing like Google's ๐, and don't get me started on Samsung's... unique interpretations.
But hey, they're still faster than loading icon fonts! ๐
Debugging emojis at Desh Keyboard revealed the truth:
Unicode promises unity, but each vendor adds their own "artistic flair".
Your โ might be a latte on iOS and espresso on Android!
Despite this beautiful chaos, emojis still beat icons for speed and expression. ๐ญ
Unicode sells emojis as "universal", but my Desh Keyboard adventures taught me otherwise! ๐คซ
A ๐ on Twitter Web might look completely different on your phone.
Yet somehow, this delightful inconsistency still works better than managing icon libraries.
Go figure! ๐คทโโ๏ธ

I'm
Muhammed Ziyad T V ๐จ๐ปโ๐ป
aka yemzikk โจ The Story Behind "yemzikk" โข My full name is Muhammed Ziyad, and I'm from Kuttiady. โข Shortened, that becomes MZK - M for Muhammed, Z for Ziyad, K for Kuttiady. โข Phonetically: M โ yem, Z โ zi, K โ kk - and that's how yemzikk was born! โข I initially wanted "yemzik", but it wasn't available. โข So, I added an extra 'k', giving a nod to Kallad Kuttiady, Kuttiady Kozhikkode, or even Kozhikkode Kerala. It's unique. It's personal. And yeah, it sounds pretty cool too ๐
